If you have questions you can call (310) 721-4895. \nThis advanced trauma-informed practice training will focus on building on direct service providers basic TIC skills by learning how to incorporate trauma-informed skills into their direct practice – specifically this training is designed for agencies and organizations working with opportunity transitional age youth (i.e. ages 16-24). The training will be a combination of dyadic and experiential learning utilizing virtual breakout groups for small group discussions and practice implementation. \nBy the end of this training participants will be able to:• Assess utilizing a TIC lens• Safety plan with a TIC lens• Identifying Risk with a TIC lens• Identifying Strengths with a TIC• Promote healing and collaboration utilizing a TIC lense \nDr. Allen E. Lipscomb\, PsyD\, MSW\, LCSWAssistant Professor in the Social Work DepartmentCollege of Social & Behavioral Science\, California State University\, Northridge.Director of Minority Male Mentoring (M3) & Student Success Allies (SSA)Dr. Lipscomb is a clinical psychologist by highest degree obtained and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. Dr. Lipscomb received his doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) with a clinical emphasis in marriage\, family and child psychotherapy from Ryokan College and his master of social work (MSW) from the University of Southern California. Dr. Lipscomb specializes in providing anti-oppressive and inclusive mental health services to individuals\, children\, youth and families of color. His areas of research are centered on the psychiatric epidemiology among racialized and marginalized individuals who have experienced trauma (i.e. complex trauma\, traumatic-grief and race-based trauma).
